A Time For Reconnecting

We’ve been alone for about a year now.

Probably not entirely alone. But lonelier than we’re meant to be.

Perhaps there is solace and healing that was found in the lonely time.

But we’re humans. We’re made to be together. Designed perfectly to connect together.

And now it is time to re-emerge. Re-connect. To gather together again.

It will be a clumsy time.

We’ll find ourselves unsure. Unsure about ourselves. Very unsure about others. Unsure about our masks. Unsure about our safety. Unsure about our health. Unsure about our responsibility. Unsure of who we are around others.

That unsure moment will pass though. And we’ll once again find ourselves in the glow of others.

We are nearing a time for reconnecting. Our souls are calling out to each other. Certainly I’m not the only one who hears the call. Certainly I’m not imagining it.

We’ll go through a period of readjusting. A period of recalibrating and remembering and recombobulating. And then we’ll remember who we are again.

It all won’t go back to “normal” or perfect (by far). But we all must reconnect. Our society needs us to. It needs to heal, and we’re the healers.

Don’t force it. Don’t rush it. Don’t judge it.

This time will require grace and forgiveness and patience.

But it is time. It is time to reconnect. Our souls are calling out to each other.
